Meeting of the Cenacolo missionaries

This year we “missionary” boys ,servants for love, coming from all the brotherhoods of Europe, met in Medjugorje to live a week of prayer and discussion about our community walk there ,in the land of the Queen of Peace. Our thread was “Providence.” This withdrawal coincided with the beginning of Lent, the special time for prayer and return to God. And this was “Providence” too because it helped us to live a long silence made of listening and prayer that lasted till the end of the week.
Our days started praying  the Rosary while going up the “Podbrdo” and up there we knelt before the Queen of Peace and lived intense moments of heart prayer.
The moments of catecheses  and sharing were really very important because they offered us clues for personal meditation. Community adorations  were rich in spontaneous prayer and deeply felt, thanks to the strength of the Holy Spirit who filled our hearts. Then the testimonies of the boys who have chosen to live in the Community were a great gift as well as our Mother Elvira’s catecheses, recorded twenty years ago when our brotherhood in Medjugorje opened.
The Way of the Cross was very touching too , up the “Krizevac”, as well as the testimony of Vicka, one of the seers: we felt all the love that Our Lady brings to each of us ,Her children, through her smile and her joy. During the last evening we showed the photos of our missions  to remind ourselves that we too are called to become “providence” for others who are poor and in need and that this  life that we have found again will be ripe and happy only if we  donate ourselves for free and for love.
Let’s thank the Divine Providence  with all our heart because Providence was there before us and really amazed us as usual ; let’s also greatly thank the youth from the brotherhood of Medjugorje, for welcoming  and serving us  in their home with love and with their smile: we really missed nothing.
