American families in Lourdes

Thank you Mary for calling us, a busload of American families along with Sister Jennifer, Sister Lucia, and Pavlina from the missions in South America, to celebrate the 150 years of your presence at the Sanctuary in Lourdes.  These were intense days filled with grace and conversion from the time of our departure up until the last day.  During our trip we prepared our hearts through many moments of prayer, thanksgiving, and sharing.  Upon our arrival we were joyfully welcomed by the guys from the fraternity “Virgin of the Divine Providence”.  We lived the “Jubilee walk” visiting important places of Saint Bernadette’s life, resting in front of the Grotto and entrusting the entire Community, our families, and difficult situations to Our Lady, letting ourselves be healed from our spiritual and physical illnesses, emerging ourselves in the Divine Mercy of the Lord through confessions and then in the famous “miraculous” pools of Lourdes.  There were also two simple moments in a square with our guys, where we sang and danced our Resurrection.  We also visited the girls at the fraternity of Bartres and celebrated the Holy Mass with our friend Father Salvatore.  We also shared a “flavorful” banquet of Divine Providence in front of a stupendous panorama… for us Americans everything was so beautiful, so profound!  We give thanks to the Lord, Mother Elvira and the entire Community for all of the gifts and welcoming we received.  May Our Lady of Lourdes always bless us!
