"St Augustine" July 2007

We are feeling the summer here in Florida now. It is very hot and humid, and we need to get rain because is getting dry again! Life in our communities is going well, but we never run out of struggles. We always have plenty of those. All our projects keep on going. We have plenty to do! The guys seem to be doing fine. Many young guys entered in the last month. All of them are still here including Luck (PA) who went home for medical reasons and got back pretty quickly! We have been pretty busy in all the houses with many different projects. The morale seems pretty high in these days. We also are very happy for Vincenzo and Kim, who decided to exit and start their life outside of the community. Vincenzo was in Community for 14 years and Kim for the last 8. They have been living in Community as a married couple for the last 7 years, 4 of those years here in Florida. For sure we miss them, but we are very happy for them and their new start. If they will be happy, we will rejoice with them. They settled in Palm Coast, a small town south of St. Augustine. Kim found a job in a parish, and Vincenzo works in a plumbing company. They do not have much but they have everything necessary to start, and the have their own dignity. Please keep them in your prayers.

At OLOH somebody did something that he was not supposed to do, so all the house are waking up at 1 a.m. to go to the chapel for prayer. So far I have not heard anyone complain about it. It is nice how the houses come together when more sacrifices are asked!

In Italy the preparations for the Festival in July are in full force. The time is getting close and so is the anxiety for those who will be going there. Please make your visit there a time of joy and prayer. Let it be a beautiful moment for your son or daughter when you see them. Everybody there is making great efforts so respect it please.

It is getting close to the 4th of July. We wish everybody a wonderful Independence Day celebration!

Ciao
