Festival of Life 2006

“Festival of Life”      Celebrating 23 years of the Community Cenacolo “ No Greater love has a man than this: that he lay down his life for a friend”                                                                                                                     (Jn 15,13) The miracle which takes place in the Community Cenacolo, is the continued journey “from the darkness to the Light”, which permanently marks the lives of so many   formerly desperate youth. The original secret by which the community lives is the complete abandonment to the Divine Providence and to the Madonna, instant for instant. How much need there is to spread this educational method! This “Christ Therapy”: the experience of the fact that only Jesus knows what is inside the heart and soul of a man, because the man has the capability to transcend from himself.  Thursday , the Eucharistic celebration was led by Fr. Pino of the Missionary Movement, “P. de Foucauld” of Cuneo, who took place for Fr. Gasparino. Friday, both Fr. Francesco Peyron from the “Missionaries of the Consolata” and in the afternoon Fr. Ivan Filipovic`, a priest of the Cenacolo,  represented this Eucharistic gathering. During the evening , a large Eucharistic Adoration took place for the missions, guided by Fr Stefano Aragno. Saturday, was a day of reconciliation, the Eucharist and thanksgiving to “Our Lady of Mt. Carmel”, also in the evening was  a beautiful recital based on certain events which took place in the life of Christ. Sunday included the presence of Fr. Pierino Ghi, Jesuit of Cuneo, who guided the prayer and Eucharistic procession for the sick. The “Festival of Life” was concluded with the Holy Mass celebrated by Monsignor Giuseppe Guerrini, Bishop of Saluzzo. The heart of the Community Cenacolo gives thanks for all of the organization that took place in regards to the festival, together with Saluzzo and the strength of their orders. Great events of joy and hope have taken place for some days in the beautiful hills of Saluzzo. If so many youth are resurected from the evil, darkness, and emptiness, it means that anything is possible.
