MESSAGGE OF LENT This Lent, let's try not to live only for pleasure, because pleasure lasts but a moment , while we have the right to live the true joy . I'm sure someone has already had the experience that giving up the pleasure of that piece of chocolate  that he wanted to eat so much, of that " comfort" that he wanted to take ... well he has experienced the joy that is not temporary but that  lasts a lifetime ! We have to be generators of joy, and we are capable because we are able to tell us "no " : maybe ten times we fall but then there's that moment that we can say "no" and it is an extraordinary victory ! There joy is generated , and not just for us. Let’s manage  our freedom well in these forty days ! Lent is a journey , a journey to get to celebrate the day of our Easter faith , a path of death and resurrection ! We can say that we have  already covered this step, this exodus to freedom : before  the Community we were in death, but now no more, because the ' "Dawn of the Resurrection " is shimmering on the darkness and is winning ! The Lenten journey that we will have  together will be , if we want, if we believe , an experience in healing from any real , deep and inner malaise. In this " crossing of the desert " we want to give space to the silence of the head, and the feelings of the heart. Let’s get rid of  banalities , interests , ambitions and motivations that are "sick " for our actions and our life. Let's voice , space and force to Charity ! For many of us the word charity means giving alms , giving something to someone, but it is not.  Charity is a person with a face, a voice, a heart that is God the Father in His Son, Jesus that made himself known , seen, heard , touched ,that has  become a man , someone like each of us. Some say it is a mystery, but Jesus is the only luminous truth , real, active , present in those who accept themselves, raising their heads and bending on their  knees , in a calm and confident abandonment to the One who saves us. Therefore, along this "desert" it is important to make the ear of the heart attentive to feeling , listening, accepting , sometimes with surprise , the festive , dancing , tolling of bells that  will announce that Jesus, the young man crucified, Son of Mary Nazareth, will rise again ! The Lord of Life accompanies us , painful and bright, suffering and merciful , strong and good towards the blazing light of His victory.
