Dearest Mother Elvira and Dear all
Happy feast of the Virgin of Lourdes. Here we are, the family from Peru, to greet you with all our heart and to tell you that we feel close to you thanks to this small but very big and sweet Holy Mary who makes us feel guided, loved and forgiven by God. We keep on meeting the Virgin Mary of Lourdes wherever we go…. The last time that we sisters spent one day in the desert we reached a pueblo (small village) where the chapel had been her cave. It’s always a proof that She exists and She follows us.
Thanks to the Divine Providence we can continue to welcome our relatives. For them it is undoubtedly a richness for them and for us it is a path of reconciliation and of recovery.
The aunts are well … they are busy as usual and continuously having to deal with unexpected situations. However our faith, our friendship and the love we feel for the children and for ourselves continue to grow. We are still on holiday but the news is that as from March for the first time we will be sending 7 children to school. The sisters that are following the three summer courses to become nurses, have started their practical training at the hospital. Thanks to Andrea, the dressmaker they can wear a white dress and a white overall which, together with their white socks and shoes, make them look real “professional” nurses!
In Santa Eulalia, the uncles, aunts and the children are all running about. The 23 children spend their days going to school, doing different activities, art (painting, clay), music, football, catechism, etc. It is a beautiful family and, thanks to God, we have the opportunity to meet and to spend some days among them with our children.
We thank you for your prayers, for your letters, for your love for people who are in difficulty. How lovely to be part of this family, The Cenacolo Community.
