My dear Mother Elvira, My name is Marco, I’m 24,I’m Italian and I live in our Russian brotherhood .I’m very happy with what I’m living because the sacrifices and the difficulties I face every day are really very little in comparison with the joy and life I feel growing inside me. All that my brothers and I are living allows us to grow ,to become responsible but above all to prey so that we can appreciate our daily joy and the beauty of living together. I’ve ascertained that Jesus always listens to my prayers ,opening my heart to service, patience , true ,clean and unselfish friendship based on living well a day at a time. I’ve always longed for a family and now in the Community I live as I‘ve always dreamt of : I can speak, share, reconsider my life, forgive, start again whilst I used to be dumb, fearful and disappointed because so many times I used to wait for my father to smile at him and to speak to him but this never occurred. How beautiful it is to live in a Christian family that trusts in Providence! We have recently experienced how Jesus listens to our prayers and how Providence always arrives at the right moment. We had run out of food: little milk, sometimes we didn’t have flour for bread, not to mention salami, cheese, sugar….Anyway we managed with what we had: pasta and potatoes even for breakfast, so we trusted in the Providence praying a novena during the night. I thought that on the tenth day we would receive everything but it went otherwise because God’s time is not like ours! So we spent another week fighting the temptation to go shopping .We believed strongly in the Divine Providence. Exactly during the Advent many people came to our house with all we needed :milk, salt, cheese, bouillon cubes! We had so much food that we shared it with great joy with our neighbours :the children and the old people from the hospice :they were really happy: I understood that Jesus never lets us down ,that we must believe, believe, believe and wait confidently. From the Community I get the strength to overcome my difficulties ,in particular from your example, dear Elvira, and from the example of those who share with you this Cenacolo led by the Madonna.
