Dear all, we are from Villa El Salvador to tell you about the latest news . This last period was full of events that have involved us and enabled us to joyfully witness the great gift of life and the Community. This year our parish "Our Señora de la Paz, " celebrated ten years of life and it was nice because as part of this big family  we attended the novena to the Holy Mass of Thanksgiving , in addition to a typical " compartir " peruano where  we shared some photos of the first group of missionaries who opened the house , of Father Adrian who so lovingly welcomed us into this land and of  various moments we  lived here as a community and as a family . Remembering our story made us smile with nostalgia and gratitude for all the good received in recent years. It 's nice to see how the Peruvian are really welcoming and generous and as always find an occasion to celebrate , such as the arrival of the father of Father Simon - our pastor - with its over 86 : he  flew from  England to here to visit his son’s mission  and it was touching to see how each group of the parish organized a whole program to welcome him and make him feel loved even if he stayed only 5 days. Even so we, now an integral part of the large parish family ,  were able to greet the " dad " with one of our jokes mimed for him to make him smile a little . Another extraordinary event  was the presence of a large group of young people to the  worship of the first Saturday of the month that for years we have animated in the various chapels of the parish. It was great to see the participation of many young people who have joined with us to pray by intentions and sing "community" style.  It is always a joy to be able to convey the beauty of having met Jesus! Recently, several groups of people who, for various reasons we have known, were  impressed by our simple way of life that we try to convey to our children also . These days we have been able to rejoice in the gift of two new arrivals : Noemi  a year and a half and Rosío a day of life , the smallest accepted until now! We entrust them to the hands of the Virgin Mary and to your prayers. Even Providence as always has been very generous : this  year she has also thought of our " holiday " and so we had the chance to go to the beach for a few days with the kids. It was nice to see the kids and aunts  happy mainly because    simplicity and  a climate of more quiet friendship and unity has grown among us . Another great event in which we participated  was the International Congress of the prayer group " Queen of Peace " which was attended by sixteen American countries . We were invited to enliven the worship with songs and gestures and it was a great providence for us , for the opportunity to learn more and explore the messages of Medjugorje . Thanks again for the fidelity and the presence of so many friends who are still seeing each other during these years , helping us and supporting us : friends who are the hands of Providence that always comes when needed and who, through their friendship,  make us feel good and more and more part of a family. This year, Providence has given us even a  pediatrician who so willingly comes to visit our children and when she  can she  stops with us also to pray the Holy Rosary . This friendship is beautiful because it is built in prayer , sacrifice and love ! We thank very warmly the Lord for all the gifts received during this period and a big " thank you" ,dear Mother Elvira, reaches you for your trust and for the chance to experience this beautiful story !
