 I am happy to be able to testify that on Sunday, March 17, we celebrated 11 years of the fraternity “Saint Therese of the Child Jesus” in Hondeghem, France-close to Lille. It was nice to be able to share this moment of brotherhood; the guys from both Lourdes and Lille displayed a lot of unity and made a lot of sacrifices during the preparations. There were still many improvisations, but thanks to St. Joseph and his Providence, everything went fine. In the cold of North France we felt the heat of the heart of this region’s group of friends, always growing in number and loyalty to the Community.
The day began with the rosary and Holy Mass in the morning, then a moment of adoration in the afternoon. Afterwards, there were testimonies and a video on the “guardian angel” that touched  the hearts of all those present. The friends in attendance confirmed their loyalty to God and to the Community by concretely transmitting and showing to us guys the mercy of God. We felt this when we were able to listen to the testimony of an entire family that converted and is walking in the faith. We realized how the Lord does not limit Himself to helping only us guys, but that His mercy extends itself to all those around us.
In this Year of the Faith, the presence of Don Michel helped us live some strong moments of prayer. The guys’ songs in French helped all those present live the celebration in communion with one another.
The day concluded with good-byes from Don Michel and a strong rainfall that blessed the fraternity as well as this land.
For all this I truly feel thankful to God, the Community, and St. Joseph for both this shared moment of faith and for the possibility to be able to say my most sincere “yes” to life.
