March 25, 2011 - Solemnity of the Annunciation
The female branch of consecrated life in Comunità Cenacolo is a flower blossomed from the heart and suffering of poor people and from the wish to welcome many desperate young people . Mother Elvira was surely amazed when she received the great gift of the first letters from some girls  who wished to follow her example  serving Christ. When the wind of the Holy Spirit blows, it blows hard so this adventure started on August 15th 1999: the first seven girls said their “ Here I am” like the Virgin Mary had done and entered our Sisters’ Convent.
On Pentecost 2001 H.R.R. Mons.Diego Bona, bishop of Saluzzo gave the  first official approval of the Church to the Community defining it Public Association of Faithful People of Diocesan Right. Monsignor Bona has always been a great friend and a good shepherd because he has always considered the Community as a Work wanted by the Heart of God.
After a period at the Convent , according to the decisions inspired to Mother Elvira by the Holy Spirit and after being postulants and novices for a few years, the first sisters professed the temporary votes of poverty, chastity, obedience , service and love for  poor people .In November 2002 some of them left for the missions, to bring Jesus ‘ Love, Tenderness and Joy to many abandoned children.
The basis of our religious and human growth as sisters with the charisma of Cenacolo is still what we learn from poor people when we serve them in the missions or from the boys and girls who knock at our doors because they are desperately sad.
On October 16th 2009 the Community obtained an official approval as International Private Association of the Faithful after which, on March 25th 2010 ,the female consecrated branch was given the important acknowledgement  of “Missionary Sisters of Resurrection” inside the Public Association of the Faithful, by Mons. Guerrini ,our present Bishop in Saluzzo .
All the sisters were there and some of them arrived from the far and various places where they do their service. The approval was declared during a Holy Mass: a great gift ,a true “baptism” that gave us name, identity and mission.
Then we sisters spent a long period with Mother Elvira in our Convent where we had the possibility to go deep into our charisma and into the rules of the new State.
In August 2010 after praying a lot the Holy Spirit, Mother Elvira sent a few of us to our missions in South America.
On March 25th 2011 the Missionary Sisters of Resurrection became one year old: Mons. Guerrini celebrated a Holy Mass in our convent and it was a moment of deep joy for us.
We would like to thank our Bishop for his friendship, his confidence and his encouraging words to repeat every day our “Here I am” and to pray ,so that more and more girls may follow Jesus in the charisma of Cenacolo.
We “ Missionary Sisters of Resurrection” serve and love the works of Comunità Cenacolo, but our specific vocation is to live and witness the importance of prayer, contemplation and the great value of the time donated to God listening to His Word and taking part in the Holy Mass. We must witness that only through prayer you can live and serve well.
Another basic moment of our life is every day Adoration between three and four p.m. During the “Hour of Mercy “,before Jesus present in the Holy Sacrament we  beg for God’s Mercy, source of  resurrection, joy, and hope for our wounded mankind.
We  entrust ourselves to the Virgin Mary, Our Mother because we really wish to follow Her example and because we need Her help to bring the announcement of Resurrection to the poor people that God calls us to love and serve.
