We are here to say thank you to God and we are happy to be able to do so on this day of "Our Lady of Aparecida", Mother and Patron of Brazil.
A small statue caught by a few fishermen in a large river in Brazil. One day they  found the body and then Our Lady's head :the people in front of this statue started to pray and through her powerful intercession the people have received many miracles.
We are also one of these miracles, Mary continues, lives, in the story of mankind; Mary is on the side of those who have difficulty, who are struggling, of the people who, like those fishermen, cast their nets and do not catch anything.
We need Mary and Her Son on the boat of our lives so that the fullness that is not only catching much fish, but it is a lot of joy, peace, everything that our hearts need. We say thank you to you in the parish of Tajacupeba, to the parish priest that represents the Church in this zone, to the many friends, because they have been close to us from the first moment and we are happy to celebrate this Holy Mass with you, in your square, close to your Church: we are walking with you.
We come from countries that are maybe richer than yours, but at times we are much poorer inside, poorer in faith, joy and in life. The Lord wanted us in your country to learn that the life of children is the greatest treasure in the world. Today is the Festival of Children and today we say a great thank you to Mary because She is everyone's Mother, Mother of Life and Mother of children.
