Prayer to Saint Vincent de Paul
Lord, just as Saint Vincent was
make me a good friend to all.
Make me inspire trust
to those who suffer and lament,
to those who seek light far from you,
to those who would like to restart,
but do not know how,
and to those who would like to trust,
but are not capable.
Saint Vincent, help me
so that I might never pass
next to someone indifferently,
with a closed heart and a hurried step.
Help me to notice immediately
those who are worried and disoriented,
those who suffer without showing,
and those who feel lonely
without wanting to be.
Lord, give me that sensibility and goodness
that Saint Vincent carried in his heart
to know how to go towards the poor
and the suffering,
loving them with Your love.
Lord, that I might listen to you,
Follow you, love you,
and serve You in every brother
that You will have me meet today.
