Prayer to Saint Dominic of Guzman
O glorious Saint Dominic,
example of repentance,
chastity and true love,
obtain for us the grace to guard
purity of heart
with a sensibility that permeates
from a new life.
You who were ignited
by the fire of God’s love,
and were a man of a great prayer
who had an intimate union with God,
obtain for us the fidelity of daily prayer
to nurture our lives with good.
You preached the Gospel devotedly,
and founded the Orders of Friars Preachers
for the salvation of souls,
for the defense of true faith
and for the conversion of sinners.
Pray for us, so that we might sincerely love
our brothers and guide them
towards salvation.
You who taught the prayer
of the Holy Rosary,
help us to pray it well to be able to walk
everyday with Mary towards
Her son Jesus.
Saint Dominic,
pray for us!
