Prayer to the Blessed Piergiorgio Frassati
Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati,
you who were young and rich,
made yourself a friend to the poor
because in them you discovered
the living face of God.
Help us to recognize Jesus in the poor
and to serve him generously.
You loved true friendship and to share in other's joy,
teach us how to be true friends of God
so that we may be true friends to our brothers.
You who were misunderstood by your family
because of your Christian faith, help the youth
who are made fun of and humiliated
because of their faith
to always remain faithful
to the gift of Christian faith.
You who discovered that living the Christian life
is living the fullness of our existence,
help the youth to understand that the true riches
of life is living for Jesus,
and putting themselves in His service.
Do not allow us to be afraid of following Jesus!
