Prayer to the Blessed John Paul II
O Holy Trinity,
we thank you for having given to the Church
Pope John Paul II
and for having shone in him
the tenderness of your fatherhood,
the glory of the Cross of Christ,
and the splendor of the Spirit of Love.
He trusted completely
in your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary
that gave us a living image of Jesus,
the Good Shepherd,
He showed sainthood as a high measure
of ordinary Christian life
and the road to obtain
eternal communion with you.
Grant, by his intercession,
according to your will,
the graces we need for our lives,
in the hope that he will soon count
in the number of your saints.
Blessed John Paul II,
