Prayer to Saint Louis-Marie Grignon de Montfort
O great apostle of the kingdom,
you who taught that the secret of holiness,
the perfect way of Mary
“to Jesus through Mary”
is the same way God wants to come to us
and bring us back to Himself.
Obtain for us the grace to practice
a true devotion to Our Lady
until guided and supported by Her,
our Mother and Mediatrix,
we can grow in charity and in faith
to achieve salvation.
Apostle of the Cross,
the fact of not having a cross was
your biggest cross;
intercede for us perseverance
in our trials and tribulations,
and a spirit of sacrifice and service
that will make us similar to Christ Crucified.
Tireless Evangelist,
instill in us too, that missionary spirit
that pushed you to work
with passion and with joy
to be able to build anywhere
the Reign of God.
Father of the poor,
of the sick and abandoned,
who saw in the least of all,
the image of Jesus Christ.
Obtain for us true charity
so that we may assist
our brothers in their difficulties.
