Prayer to Saint Daniel Comboni
O Father,
Saint Daniel Comboni lived an admirable
and complete trust in you: give us too
by his intercession, a great and simple faith,
that we can abandon ourselves
everyday to your will.
O Father,
the spirit of sacrifice and heroic love for the Cross
burned in the heart of Saint Daniel Comboni:
give us too a generous heart like his,
that is capable of giving itself in sacrifice
without tiring.
O Father,
Saint Daniel Comboni had an intense love
for the poorest and abandoned souls:
do not allow us to have peace, like he did not have,
if a brother still has not met you;
make us missionaries
of the Gospel so that many can meet you.
O Father,
Saint Daniel Comboni spent his whole life
for the spread of your kingdom
amongst the people of Africa,
he loved intensely Africa and the Africans:
by his intercession, give the bread of the Gospel
to the African people and sustain
all missionaries in that country.
