Prayer to Saint Josephine Bakhita
O God, Father of mercy,
you have given us
Saint Josephine Bakhita
as the universal sister,
and the evangelical model
of simple faith
and hard working charity.
Give us as well her
will power to believe and love
according to the Gospel.
Grant all the prayers
of everyone who invokes her intercession.
Give us the grace of a merciful heart
like hers,
a heart capable of forgiving
even those who have hurt us,
and a heart capable of overcoming evil
with the powerful strength of good.
