Prayer to Saint John Bosco
We thank you Lord
for having given us Saint John Bosco
as a father of the young, a true man of God
and a teacher of Christian life for all.
Allow us, we pray, to be able to imitate him
in his love for God and for youth.
Give us his generosity to live the Gospel
with courage and perseverance.
Saint John Bosco, you told us:
“It is enough that you are young,
because I love you dearly.”
I entrust myself to you: give me a clean heart,
make me tenacious in work, wise in my decisions,
and courageous in giving testimony
to the joys of Christian life.
You were so in love with the Eucharist
and with the Virgin Mary,
help and nurture me with the faith
of the Bread of Life
and let me always be guided by Mary Most Holy,
the auxiliary of all graces.
Saint John Bosco,
