On the poster and invitation to the festival there was the title DO NOT BE AFRAID and to be sincere, I have to tell you that in the very beginning, ten years ago, there was fear, a lot of fear in Kleinfrauenhaid. Starting with the citizens, the mayor, and many others. Only the parish priest and a group of people with him said that there was no need to be afraid if a group of young people, that had drug problems, came to live here. To be honest, when this small group came to me, they had to convince me in order to obtain my "yes", and only after speaking with Sister Elvira did I gain hope and trust, which continues to grow. When we are afraid, we ask ourselves many questions: how will this work? When it was said that they live on providence and that there is no need for money, insurance, or doctors, I thought, "How can something like this work! How can it be that here in our Burgenland, in Kleinfrauenhaid, there is a community that does not worry about what they eat or drink?". I can assure you that instead everything worked out and continues to go well, thanks to many friends, priests, families, many hands that help the Community. Today no one is afraid, on the contrary, everyone is proud of the Community Cenacolo in Kleinfrauenhaid and there is not a youth group in preparation for their Confirmation that does not stop by to see the Community Cenacolo. Here in our diocese, we have seen that God does miracles and takes care of us. I would like to add something to the words "Do not be afraid" and give you a message. Do not be afraid to show and to live your faith in front of others. Unfortunately, many times we are ashamed to show our faith in public. In Austria, every Sunday, one million people go to Church. If this million people showed and lived their faith our world would change for the better and we would also feel God's influence. I would like to tell you: "Do not be afraid, trust God."
